A Five-Story Shop House in Kelapa Gading Barat Burnt

Fire gutted a five-story shop house in Gading Bukit Indah Complex, Block 12, Jalan Gading Bukit Raya, RW 15, Kelapa Gading Barat Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Monday (10/26). There was no casualty reported in the incident, but the loss reached tens of millions rupiah.

Burha‎nudin, (45), one of security officers expressed that fire is triggered by electricity short-circuit from a lift inside building, precisely on fourth floor. "Fire broke out at around 3 PM. All employees were immediately going out the building to save their life when they saw the flames," he told.

The fire was successfully controlled about 15 minutes after deploying 15 fire trucks of North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department to the scene.

Fire Hit 6 Storehouses in Penjaringan

Until now, Fireman of North Jakarta Fire Handling Sub-Department, Putut Djantoso, the cause of fire is still being investigated. "Temporary allegation, it is caused by electricity short-circuit," he expressed.
